Durham College Pipe Band
The Durham College Pipes and Drums has been a non-competitive teaching band which was established in February of 2005. This year (2023) we have decided to try our hand at competing at the Grade 5 level in three Highland Games: Georgetown, Cambridge and Fergus. We will continue to perform as a street marching band in several local events. Check out the “Engagements” listing for dates and times. We are a diverse group of players, from young beginners to seasoned veterans, who focus on competitive pipe band performance, improving skills, and having fun. In the fall of 1999, a group of pipers and drummers from the Windsor/Metro Detroit area came together and formed a Grade 3 level band with the goal of going out and competing in the summer of 2000.
